The final exam, similar to the midterm, is closed book, closed notes, no electronic devices, except that you may bring one 8½"x11" sheet of notes (you may use both sides, written or printed as small as you like). The final exam covers all the materials covered in class, except File I/O. The final exam topics generally appear in Chapters 1 through 7.1 and Chapters 9 and 10 of the textbook. |

If you are getting errors preventing compilation that mention strcpy_s, strcat_s, etc, put the following line at the top of your program file, before all other lines in the file: #define _CRT_SECURE_NO_WARNINGS You can leave that line in for Visual C++, clang++, and g++, and use strcpy, strcat, etc., in your code. |

The midterm is closed book, closed notes, no electronic devices, except that you may bring one 8½"x11" sheet of notes (you may use both sides, written or printed as small as you like). The midterm will cover topics up to and including C strings. Those midterm topics generally appear in Chapters 1 through 5 and Chapter 9 of the textbook. Bring a pencil to the midterm. |
