8/13/14 Solution to assignment 6 can be submitted here. Make sure you read the project requirements carefully before submitting your solution.
8/10/14 To accommodate you with more help during the finals week, the TAs are kindly offering more office hours and a review session (in addition to the in-lecture review session I will hold on Wednesday). Make sure to utilize these resources to better prepare for the Final Exam and Assignment 6.

8/09/14 The final exam will be held on Thursday, August 14th, at CS76 at 2-3:50PM. The final exam, similar to the midterm, is closed book, closed notes, no electronic devices, except that you may bring one 8½"x11" sheet of notes (you may use both sides, written or printed as small as you like). The final exam covers all the materials covered in class, except File I/O. The final exam topics generally appear in Chapters 1 through 7.1 and Chapters 9 and 10 of the textbook.

8/02/14 Sepideh is maintaining a dropbox folder for discussion section slides for Behnam, Nazanin, and her sections. Anyone in the class can have access to those by sending her an e-mail at sepideh@cs.ucla.edu.

7/18/14 Prof. Pournaghshband's office hours for next Tuesday (7/22) is moved to Wednesday (7/23) 3:50-5PM, only for this week.
7/17/14 If you are getting errors preventing compilation that mention strcpy_s, strcat_s, etc, put the following line at the top of your program file, before all other lines in the file: #define _CRT_SECURE_NO_WARNINGS
You can leave that line in for Visual C++, clang++, and g++, and use strcpy, strcat, etc., in your code.
7/17/14 The midterm will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd, at CS76 at 2-3:50PM. The midterm is closed book, closed notes, no electronic devices, except that you may bring one 8½"x11" sheet of notes (you may use both sides, written or printed as small as you like). The midterm will cover topics up to and including C strings. Those midterm topics generally appear in Chapters 1 through 5 and Chapter 9 of the textbook. Bring a pencil to the midterm.
