Everyone will participate once in creating a set of scribe notes for a lecture. The scribes will be assigned at the beginning of each lecture. Notes are due exactly three days after the lecture at 9:00PM (with an exception of the last lecture on Aug 12th which the notes are due on Aug 13th). Over these three days, the scribes will cooperate to produce a single set of notes. The notes will be posted on the course web-page for everyone's reference.

Your audience for these notes is essentially yourselves -- this class -- in about two weeks' time, when you have perhaps forgotten what the lecture was about. Your notes should be clear enough to get a sense of the important topics in class without having been to class (or after forgetting the class). Prefer full sentences and paragraphs to bullet points.

Here are some examples of very good scribe notes for other computer classes, if you are looking for some examples. However, feel free to use any format you would like.

The average grade for a set of notes will be in the B range. To earn an A, I will expect you to produce clear notes, in grammatical English, that cover the topics in class, with motivation if applied. To earn an A+ you will need to go above and beyond the call of duty. Feel free to produce notes that are in your own words, or that present the lecture in a new way.

You should include your names on the scribe note. Submit the final version on both .doc(x) and .pdf version on the CCLE in the designated section to submit scribe notes. Only one submission per group is required.
